Description
The VMT2 is a large bat box for temporary summer roosts (more than 10 animals) and maternity roosts of building-dwelling bats, especially the common and rough-skinned pipistrelle. It is a box without a back: you place it like a tray on the exterior wall and the bats climb inside via the rough facade.

Tip: hang the box in a sunny and as high as possible location, just under a roof edge, and not close to a window or lamppost.
Placement
Place the box at a minimum height of 3 meters, preferably near an existing flight path. Distribute boxes across different wind directions and leave the space underneath free. As a guideline for compensation or mitigation, hang 4 replacement roosts for every roost that is disappearing.
