Bat winter module VMPW2 – hibernaculum, connectable | Unitura
Description
The VMPW2 is an insulated, prefabricated winter module for bats, intended as a mass winter roost for the common pipistrelle bat. You place the module with the front directly into the facade, flush with the masonry. Because the modules can be connected in all directions, you can create a custom-sized roost for each project.

Tip: for a mass winter roost, connect at least four modules (two below, two above) to ensure the microclimate remains sufficiently stable.
Placement
Always place the module as part of a network of roosts: several large roosts on a building, supplemented by many small roosts on all sides of the building. Access to the roost is through the base module. Install the module during masonry work, as high as possible and at least 3 metres above the ground.
