Description
The HMT2 is a double-compartment house martin nest box made of FSC-certified plywood, with two nesting spaces in one box. This allows you to meet the standard mitigation requirement of two replacement nesting spaces for every lost nesting space with just one box. The inspection hatch makes the box easy to clean.

Tip: one HMT2 compensates for one lost nesting space according to the guideline of two replacement spaces.
Placement
Place the box at a height of at least 3 m, preferably near the gutter. House martin boxes work best between 3 and 12 metres, with the roofline (approx. 6 m) being the preferred position and greenery within 10 metres. Do not hang the box in the sun: choose a north- or east-facing position or a spot under the gutter.
